Construction Milestones in May

Every week, Nashville’s Biggest Stage looks a little more like the real thing.
If you’ve driven or walked past the site lately, you may have already spotted some cool new additions: Daktronics installed the exterior LED board that will face the new South Plaza, and the structural supports for the new Titans shield logos have started appearing on the northeast side of the building.
Inside the building, things are really starting to come together. Crews are wrapping up most of the heavy structural work, with masonry work 99% complete, concrete work 96% complete, and interior framing and drywall 85% complete. Now, they’ve started shifting their focus to the finishing touches that fans will see. Tile work is complete in the Titans Family Room, Cheer Lounge, and a few other locker room areas, with crews now moving on to the Suite Level and restrooms throughout the stadium.
Speaking of suites — millwork has officially begun! Bookshelves, kitchen islands, and overhead shelving are being installed, really start to feel like the premium experience fans have been looking forward to. Permanent light fixtures are arriving and will begin going up in June.
The new stadium will have double the number of bathroom stalls per capita as the current one, and all the plumbing work to make that happen is well underway, with pipes on the upper level more than 70% complete.
On the food side of things, kitchen equipment installation has passed the halfway mark, so get ready for faster service and more options on gameday! In case you missed it, we’re bringing Nashville’s food scene into the building and seeking local businesses who want to be a part of it.
The roof is also making progress! The top layer of cables is locked into place on the compression ring, and 60 of 224 vertical roof posts have been installed. The bottom layer of cables will start to go up in June.
Finally, 305 doors on three sides of the stadium are in place, and we can’t wait to welcome fans through them. Stay tuned for next month’s update to learn more about how the new Nissan Stadium will transform Nashville’s concert experience.
