January Construction Update
This Update Brought To You By
The new Nissan Stadium kicked off 2026 on a strong note with crews turning their focus to the exterior skin and façade of the building, working hard to get the stadium fully enclosed as it enters the final year of construction.
The Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) roof enclosure system, one of the highlights of the new Nissan Stadium, is making progress as crews continue to unroll and lay out stainless-steel cables required to create the tensioned net support. So far, 42 of the 68 cables have been unrolled and prepped for connection to the ring beam. The crisscrossing cables are being unrolled in the stadium bowl, preparing for the big lift that is scheduled to take place mid-spring.
The Thermoplastic Polyolefin roofing, which will act as the outer, protective layer of the roof, is also moving quickly toward completion with more progress to come as spring weather approaches.
Window and metal panel installation has been a major part of the push to get the building fully enclosed. As of the end of January, 84% of the curtain wall system is completed, mainly along the west, south, and north sides of the building, with the focus shifting to the east side in February.
Fans can look forward to seeing more of Music City on the new stadium soon. The multi-toned stone panel cladding, which not only provides insulation and weather resistance along the outside of the building, but also mimics the look of piano keys, will become more visible throughout the next month.

While the outside of the building has been the focus, crews are continuing their work throughout the interior of the stadium. Twenty-one of the 27 passenger elevators have their platforms installed and are awaiting the final touches that will allow them to be fully functioning. Interior masonry walls are 80% complete, while the interior framing and drywall is about 60% complete with door frames and ceiling tiles following right behind.
Construction has also started on the food and beverage front. Earlier this month, the Titans announced the new stadium will feature 40 markets using Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, allowing for frictionless transactions throughout the stadium and getting fans back to their seats faster than ever. The technology is still in the early stages of installation, but the markets will be ready for fans before we know it. The seating bowl is also getting prepped with handrails and drink rails currently being installed.

2026 is already off to a great start for the new Nissan Stadium and we can’t wait to see what else is in store as the building starts to really take shape.
