ETFE Roof Installation, Major MEP Progress, and Fabrication of Exterior Windows

New Nissan Stadium

We kicked off the installation of the ETFE cable-stayed roof structure, starting with the first ring beam box — and now we’ve got 4 out of the 50 needed to complete that perfect circular frame. The lower roof decking is also underway on the west side, which means we’re inching closer to being dried in.

By the escalators, the glass railings are being installed, and on Level 200, we’ve started adding the glass handrail bases — these little touches are really starting to bring the look and feel of the stadium to life.

From an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) perspective, there’s been some major progress too. The first air handlers for the HVAC system are now in place at Field Level, and we’ve installed four electrical transformers that will power the substations. Plus, the permanent power connections are now live thanks to completed underground duct banks, giving the stadium not just one, but two separate power feeds for extra reliability. We also completed the domestic water connections — checking off more essentials for future operations.

Inside the stadium, the action hasn’t slowed down either. We’re still erecting precast stadia seating, especially around the suite and studio box levels. The interior masonry walls are shaping up — with over 220,000 square feet of concrete block walls already installed.

Up top, more of the structural steel is going in — including some really cool latticework that’ll support signage on top of the stadium so you can see us from far and wide. We’re about a third of the way through the steelwork now!

Meanwhile, offsite work is moving right along. The glazing for the exterior windows is being fabricated and is on track for installation starting this August.

Things are moving fast, and it’s all coming together!
